Though I have been less than impressed since Sera Gamble (and I absolutely love her) took over for Kripke, hopefully they’ll get back into the Winchester groove soon!

The show has been on it’s annual hiatus for quite sometime now, but the boys are back with the episode known as “Like a Virgin”.

Virgins mysteriously disappear, and Dean and Bobby learn that dragons are responsible for the kidnappings.  Dean seeks out a weapon to slay the beast, but he must prove himself worthy before he can claim it.  Meanwhile Death tries to restore Sam’s soul.

I know it’s been almost 2 months since we’ve last seen the boys, but if you remember at the end of the last episode Sam and Dean went their separate ways once again.  Someone or something needs to get our boys back together!!

I would like to make note and mention the article says Supernatural isn’t back until February 4th.  I’m not sure which date is accurate, everything else I’ve seen says it’s tonight.  So, I guess we will find out!

One of my favorite shows is back for it’s second season (or series as it’s known in the UK).  I just finished the 3 episode of the season and I am definitely impressed.  It’s one of those shows that can easily blend comedic elements with drama.  I look forward to seeing what happens next with the Misfits!

SPOILERS!  SPOILERS!

Episode One Synop:

The misfits are back again, Nathan is supposedly dead, turns out, he isn’t able to die.  Nathan does have a super power!

Curtis, Kelly, Alisha and Simon receive mysterious notes saying to “go to his grave” and when they go there they discover that Nathan is buried alive.  While Nathan’s been gone the misfits have gotten another new Probation worker.

Life goes on.

In this episode we’re introduced to a shapeshifter who has ties to Simon.

And she’s out for vengeance.

Episode Two Synop:

Nathan discovers he has a brother he never knew about and he gets to know him in this episode.

He also discovers he can see dead people.

Curtis goes to the future, and what happens there he doesn’t tell Alisha (his girlfriend).

Episode Three Synop:

We find out who the masked hero is, and it comes as a bit of a shock.

Curtis and Alisha maybe on the outs after this episode, both are keeping secrets.

Kelly and Nathan’s relationship goes to a whole new level.  Just like Nathan and Simon’s!

Two words: Asbo 5.

I personally think remakes of older shows turn out to be pretty crappy (Battlestar Galactica is excluded, because let’s face it, that show was awesome!).  Though if you check out IMDB it tells us that it is a spinoff of  the original, “La Femme Nikita” and that television show was an adaption of the 1990 movie of the same name.  Whoa, kind of confusing.

So if you’re looking to watch Supernatural you’ll have to wait until Friday nights at 9pm.

New episodes begin September 24.

Early on this year the CW announced the renewal of Supernatural, much earlier than anticipated.  Just recently the CW released the schedule for the 2010-2011 season at the Upfronts.

Supernatural will again be paired up once again with Smallville (in it’s 10th and final season).  Personally I felt Supernatural worked well with Vampire Diaries, both of which this season were the CW’s top scripted shows (TVD is #1 and SPN #2).

In my own opinion I see pros and cons to this move.  Supernatural has been around a lot longer than most of the scripted shows on the CW, so it already has it’s niche following and gains some new viewers every season.  So moving an already settled show makes perfect sense.

On the other hand, Friday night television is definitely a numbers killer.  For example,  the 2008-2009 season of Smallville which aired on Thursday nights averaged 3.75 million viewers (the premiere had a whoppin 4.34 million viewers), as of the 2009-2010 season Smallville had moved to Friday nights and averaged 2.34 million.

That’s quite a bit of lost viewers.

Supernatural is a phenomenal show, it’s numbers this season have been some of the best numbers so far.  So it remains to be seen whether this move is a smart idea.

Supernatural has been officially renewed!  We will be getting a season 6 from one of the best shows on television! The CW renewed it along with Gossip Girl, 90210, The Vampire Diaries, and Americas Next Top Model.  Smallville fans may be worried about the outcome of a possible season 10, but according to the Auisello Files it’s chances of renewal are very good.

Good news about Supernatural, the apocalypse theme will not be carried over into next season, it will definitely be interesting to see what direction the show will take after this.  Because how can you top the Apocalypse?

Michael Ausiello is reporting that Eric Kripke is “warming up” to a possible Sixth season of Supernatural. I know he’s said in the past that he only planned up to a fifth season and also that he didn’t want to draw out the story.  If after this season the Winchester’s had more stories to tell, then it could possibly happen.  Hopefully, it will all work out.   But if it doesn’t I hope it ends on a high note and not draw the story out too much.  (Just my humble opinion though).

The CW would be crazy not to pick it up, it gets some of the networks best numbers.

I try not to give much credence to rumors, particularly rumors of the JSquared (Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles) kind.  I don’t buy into the whole “they’re so in love and their covering up their love for each other by dating girls”.  In reality, it they want to keep that a secret, then it’s their business not mine.  But, a recent Bitch-Back” from Ted Casblancas I cannot ignore.  Check it:

Engagements (particularly rumored engagements) are like press releases in this town. They’re often whipped up with great thought as to how it sounds, rather than how it’s actually going to come to pass. Jake and Reese? Casey Johnson and Tila Tequila? I promise you two things: (1) Had Casey lived, that wedding never would have taken place, and (2) Jared Padalecki and his supertight Supernatural bud, Jensen Ackles, will sooner marry each other than who they’re currently rumored to be getting hitched to.
